For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Everything in this world was caused by God. Out of His goodness He created men and all things, visible and invisible alike; He breathed on them and gave them life. If there is one who would have rights to take everything away, that would be God Himself. Even in choosing men to be a part of His bride, it would still be His choice. And by that sovereignty, we stand.
Being a part of the church is not something we earn. It is not a privilege. It is actually a gift, a gift to those whose names are known to Him. It was a surprising act which causes the empty soul to be filled with assurance, peace, contentment, hope and even faith. Yes, even faith! For faith is not something that we do, it is something that is realized when God starts to work in our lives. Once reborn, faith is born as well. For we’re never good enough or we are too bad to believe that there is a God. That’s why it was called grace. We never deserved that awesome work of Christ. In any case that we’ve thought that we were called for something innate, we should start trembling for that thought. The synergism of that thought was already dead. Period. We were saved by God’s will alone. And never, will we be ever a part of that will.
